Front End Submissions Addon Tutorial

Allow your visitors and/or users to post their best videos to your site. This addon makes WP Video Robot the perfect solution, for frontend user video submission.

In this tutorial, we’ll see how to use WP Video Robot – Front End Submissions.

If you need help to install this add-on, here is a tutorial for that.

First of all, head to WPVR add-ons and enable the add-on in order to use it.

SETTINGS

Form Submission Mode :
Choose to send the frontend form using AJAX or POST method.

Submitted Videos Post Status :
Turn this on if you don’t want to review submitted videos before publishing them.

Skip Duplicates : 
Enable this option, to avoid submitting an already imported video.

Enable guests posting  :
Select whether to allow guests to submit videos, or only registered and logged users.

Author to assign guest posts to :
If you allow guest users to submit videos, you can choose which registered author will be the author of guests submitted videos.

Restrict Posting to some user roles : 
You can pick one or more user role, that will be allowed to submit videos from frontend.

Default Posting Categories :
Pick one or more categories that will be assigned by default to submitted videos.

Enable Posting Categories On FrontEnd
Enable this option if you want to give the visitor the choice of which category he’ll submit video to.
If disabled, submitted videos will all be assigned to ‘Default Posting  Categories’ defined below.

Posting Categories Rendering :
This option gives you the hand to make the submitter choose a single category or multiple categories.

Allowed Posting Categories :
Pick one or more categories that will be available on frontend for the submitter.

INTERFACE

Enable Captcha :
Enable this option, to add a captcha field to the frontend form, to verify if the submitter is a human.

Submit button Label :
You can enter her what you want to appear on the submit button

Submit Again button Label :
You can enter her what you want to appear on the submit again button

Submitter Name Placeholder :
You can enter her what you want to appear on the placeholder of name field

Submitter Email Placeholder :
You can enter her what you want to appear on the placeholder of email field

Submitter URL Placeholder :
You can enter her what you want to appear on the placeholder of url field

Closed Submission Message :
You can enter here the custom message that should show up when frontend submissions are closed.
Not that you can here use images, HTML and even shortcodes.

Submit Success Message :
You can enter here the custom message that should show up when a video has been successfully submited.
Not that you can here use images, HTML and even shortcodes.

Login Restriction Message :
You can enter here the custom message that should appear to a guest user when submissions are restricted to logged users.
Not that you can here use images, HTML and even shortcodes. You can show up a login form into your custom message by using the shortcode [wpvr_fes_login_form].

Role Restriction Message :
You can enter here the custom message that should appear to a certain user role that is not allowed to submit videos from frontend.
Not that you can here use images, HTML and even shortcodes.

Invalid ID Message :
You can enter here the custom message that should appear when the video id is not valid.

Not Found Message :
You can enter here the custom message that should appear when the video not found.

Duplicate Message :
You can enter here the custom message that should appear when the video is already imported to the site.

VIDEO SERVICES

Enable the video services that you want the users to use when submitting videos.

NOTIFICATIONS

Enable Notifications :
Enable this options to send notifications automatically when the video is submitted.

Notifications Message:
You can enter here the custom message that you want to show in the notification using these tags :
%user_name%, %user_email%, %video_title%, %video_thumbnail%, %post_url%, %post_id%, %post_date%.

Recipients :
You can enter here the emails of the recipients that you want to send them the notification.

Last step is to implement the frontend submission form on a new or existing page.
Simply put the shortcodecode [wpvr_fes_form] and then Click on Update or Publish button if it’s a new page.
