Version 1.9.18 released!


The new version 1.9.18 of WP Video Robot has just been released! This update introduces the support of two new video services: Rutube and Twitch.
Besides, lot of fixes, improvements and new features have been implemented. We’re really happy to bring this version to you, so please take 3 minutes to update WP Video Robot and all its add-ons to ensure a smooth usage of the plugin.

Several customers requested the ability to import videos from different video services. That’s why we’re happy to announce that the WPVR add-ons family has welcomed two new members: Rutube and Twitch 🙂

Auto-Update Revamped

The whole auto-update process of both WP Video Robot and its add-ons have been revisited for a better user experience. You can now within the reach of a click, get all the information you need about an update before upgrading the plugin or any of its add-ons.

Lazy Loaded Images

When testing a source, the plugin will now lazy load all the results images for a faster execution. They will appear smoothly as you scroll down. Preventing from any freezing during the page loading.

Some other good stuff

  • Changed the autoload parameter on all the WPVR options entries.
  • Corrected the behavior of Dailymotion sources in case of errors and on pagination parsing.
  • Introduced an automatic save/restore process of your local WPVR config file during the auto-update.
  • Optimized all images and assets used by the plugin for a lightweight plugin.
  • Added DEMO SOURCES selector by service to get started easily with the plugin.

Bugfixes and corrections

In addition to all of those enhancements, WP Video Robot version 1.9.18 includes several corrections, as well as a number of security fixes. For further information, you may want to check the online Changelog or the one on the root folder of the plugin.

We are thrilled by this new release release and hope you’ll enjoy it as well. As with all major updates, we strongly recommend that you use a staging or test server to test the updates on your site before installing it on a live site.
